Preparation of the program and running of the Centre for Industry 4.0 of the Silesian University of Technology

The program for the second day was divided into two thematic blocks:

  • First block (11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) regarding technological trends in metal processing, innovative solutions "from science to industry", the use of digitalization to overcome challenges in the industry
  • Second block (1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.) regarding new regulations in the metalworking sector
      • Machinery regulation - presentation by a specialist consulting company or a representative of the ministry
      • A practical approach to the implementation of the Machinery Regulation - PILZ - a global expert in machine safety issues
      • Digital product passport - presentation by a specialist consulting company or an expert from the European Commission
      • Carbon footprint reporting – in progress
